The La Junta Small Business Development Center was created in 2001 and has been dedicated to helping entrepreneurs start and expand their small businesses in Southeast Colorado by offering individual, free and confidential management consulting. The service area consists of Baca, Bent, Crowley, Kiowa, Otero and Prowers counties. The SBDC Network is a partnership with the SBA (Small Business Administration). It combines the resources of federal, state and local governments with those of the educational system and private sector to meet the specialized needs of the small business community. Management, financial and marketing experts work in partnership to provide entrepreneurs with crucial information that can mean the difference between success and failure.
